Curved column line revit not seen on other floors.
Getting such information is not generally as easy as just getting a location curve.
See override individual lines in an element.
I am trying to create a gap in a curved grid line but this seems beyond revit s capabilities.
This issue occurs because there is an incorrect view range in the main view.
Ensure the link is visible in the view.
See masking regions and filled regions.
In the main floor level the bottom of the primary range is set to main floor with an offset of 1.
If you see the missing grid select it right click and choose unhide in view.
Ami out of luck or is there some trick i don t know yet.
Verify that your grids workset display yes in the opened column.
When you tried to underlay a floor only doors and windows were visible.
If your model in place intersects the cut plane at even just one point it ll show the entire model regardless of whether or not the other parts should be seen.
Ensure the link is loaded.
Doubly curved surfaces generated by slab shape points are not supported.
It follows the below procedure.
An even more bizarre example is where a revit floor will disregard your view depth and show anyway as long as it is within an arbitrarily picked range of 4 feet of your bottom clip.
This is related to the auto detect settings for the column s analytical model and also the tolerances set in structural settings.
Thank you all kindly.
A slanted column on the other hand is equipped with a location curve.
If you are using slabs with split lines and very steep angles you might want to model those floors as two floors using slap shape points.
Konstru will store split lines and slab shape points but represent the floor outline only.
If the element is part of a linked file do the following.
To check click the worksets icon in the collaborate tab.
If the view range intersects the geometry of a level in your main view that level cannot be used as an underlay in the main view.
To see if this is the problem toggle on the reveal hidden elements tool.
First post here and i hope i am in the right place.
In plan view click view menu view properties.
Is your grids workset opened in the project.
Verify that the element is not hidden by a masking region or a filled region.
For vertical columns you can derive end points via level parameters and offsets.
To prevent the floor or slab from being visible in plan view you need to adjust the bottom clip so that it is more than 4 feet above the floor or slab and set the view depth so that it does not include any part of the floor or slab.
Those floors will be ignored entirely.
