Pry off trim molding surrounding the existing door if applicable with the flat end of a pry bar. Once you ve got the caulk tube all cut and ready to go you have to actually use it which can be trickier than you might think. Remove the exterior trim caulking to remove the trim on the outside of the home first use a razor knife to cut the caulking so the trim is easier to remove. Dry wall surrounding the inside of the window may get in the way of the process.
